A 17-year-old was robbed and slashed across the face at a McDonald’s in Melrose Sunday morning, police say.
The incident happened around 10:30 a.m. near East 149th Street and Third Avenue.
Officials say two suspects approached the teen, slashed him on the left side of his head in the doorway and robbed him of $200 and a cellphone.
Police say two people were detained, but did not confirm if any arrests were made in connection to the slashing.
The McDonald’s re-opened Sunday afternoon. Customers tell News 12 they will continue to eat there despite what happened at the entrance of the store.
