Police say they have arrested a Queens couple for allegedly trying to rip off a grandma by phone in Minnesota.

According to police, the couple told her that her grandson was in trouble with the police.

The 84-year-old was told to buy $2,700 in gift cards and give the suspects the codes.

A few days later, the woman was instructed to mail $5,100 to an address in Roosevelt.
