A Deer Park man has been arrested after he allegedly got into a fight with a driver over a parking space.

Police say 38-year-old John Harvey got into an argument with a driver in the Shop Rite parking lot on Sunrise Highway in Massapequa around 10 a.m. Sunday.

Police say a security guard from Shop Rite got involved. That's when Harvey allegedly pulled a large hunting knife from his car and chased the security guard through the parking lot.

Harvey also allegedly took the security guard's bag, which fell when he was running.

Harvey was arrested and will be arraigned in Hempstead.
