Reports: Approval close for Manhattan congestion pricing plan

Congestion pricing for Manhattan will likely be approved in Albany as part of the new state budget.
The move would mean a fee would be imposed on cars and trucks that drive south of 61st Street in Manhattan during peak hours.
This morning, the Assembly Speaker says he has the votes to approve the plan. The Senate is also reportedly on board.
As News 12 has reported, supporters of congestion pricing say it could potentially raise billions of dollars for mass transit.
However, Long Island's state legislators say they'll support it only if a good chunk of that money goes to local transit.
The budget is due on April 1.
