LEVITTOWN -

A Levittown woman is accused of assaulting a Nassau County detective.

Police say the detective came to Donna Cipley's Milton Avenue home Tuesday afternoon to arrest her for criminal contempt.

They say the 63-year-old became verbally abusive, struck the detective with a door, and then flailed her arms and legs.

Cipley is also accused of forcefully bending back the detective's thumb.

The detective was treated for minor injuries.
