Fire tears through plumbing supply company in Glen Cove
Volunteer firefighters from more than 30 departments helped fight the raging flames Monday night at a plumbing supply building in Glen Cove.
The blaze broke out at Cove Plumbing Supply around 10 p.m. on 26 Morris Ave. By 6:30 a.m., it was finally under control.
By Tuesday morning, only part of the roof was still intact.
There was a report of one minor injury to a first responder and no civilian injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by fire investigators from the Nassau County Fire Marshal’s Office and the Nassau County Police Arson / Bomb squad.
