Man believed to be connected to Bridgeport murder sought
Bridgeport police are asking for the public’s help to solve a recent murder at a truck driver training school.
On January 26, Eric Salters, 28, of New Haven, was fatally shot by a gunman who police believe was waiting for him.
The incident occurred at New England Tractor Trailer Training School in the middle of the day. The victim was taking a break at the time and returning to his car in the parking lot.
Surveillance video from an apartment building in Shelton shows two people believed to be connected to the case.
Authorities are specifically looking to identify and talk to the man wearing the designer backpack. Police say they already have the name of the second man in the video. They’ve identified him, reached out to him and say he’s been uncooperative.
Police say they are still working to establish a motive, but maintain that the victim was targeted. They are urging anyone with information about the shooting to call 203-576-TIPS.
