Suffolk police say a man was critically injured in a stabbing at a Medford home early Sunday morning, and a suspect is in custody.
Police say Stony Brook University Hospital personnel reported that a victim of violence had been taken to the hospital around 4:40 a.m. Police say an investigation determined that two men had been involved in a dispute at a home on Hagerman Avenue in Medford.
According to police, 30-year-old Michael Connors used a kitchen knife to stab 35-year-old Miles Connors, of Holbrook, during the dispute. Police say the two men are acquaintances, but are not related.
Miles Connors was listed in critical condition.
Michael Connors is charged with second-degree assault. He is due to be arraigned in Central Islip on Monday, according to police.
