2 hurt, 4 cars damaged when tractor-trailer tips on Sunrise Highway

NORTH AMITYVILLE -

Sunrise Highway is now fully reopened after a crash created a major mess in North Amityville Friday.

Officials say a tractor-trailer carrying heavy metals flipped onto its side on County Line Road yesterday.

Four cars were damaged, and two people were treated for injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

There were several road closures in the area as crews cleaned up the crash.

The roads have since been reopened.
