Hansen's Flower Shop takes Valentine's Day orders down to the wire

Hansen’s Flower Shop typically makes 500 deliveries on Valentine’s Day – 80 percent of them red roses, the rest roses of other colors, says owner Bruce Minoff.
The shop was still accepting Valentine’s Day orders on Wednesday.
"We usually take deliveries up until the 14th, 12, 1, 2 o'clock depending on the weather,” he says. “We try to do as much as we possibly could.”
But Minoff says he likes to have deliveries done by 6 p.m. Feb. 14. Hansen’s, which is nearly 100 years old now, takes orders online, in person and over the phone. The day after Valentine’s Day, Minoff says he receives up to 15 orders – from those who forgot about the holiday.
