Westport Library renovations to wrap by summer

The Westport Library renovation project is on track to wrap up by summertime.
The $21 million project includes additional conference rooms, lounges and cafes. Also in the works is a forum with a stage, video wall, stadium-style seating and theater-quality sound and lighting. Renovations are on budget, and the library should open in June.
Renovations started in September 2017. Among the changes made is the addition of floor-to-ceiling windows. Bill Harmer, the library's executive director, says the changes affect the library's feel and structure; the core values of education and research remain.
