A fire at a multimillion-dollar home in Weston is being called the town's biggest house fire in 15 years.

Flames could be seen shooting through the roof of the home at 103 Good Hill Road Sunday night. Twenty-six Weston firefighters were on the scene, assisted by the Wilton, Westport and Georgetown fire departments.

A man, his two children and a pet dog escaped the home uninjured, according to fire officials. 

The departments say they used a pond in front of the property to pump water for their hoses.

"It was a good response.  Great cooperation from our neighbors. You know, on a large fire we needed a lot of extra help and the guys did great job at the scene," says Weston Fire Chief John Pokorny.

Neighbors say they heard the fire may have started outside of the home in a trash can, but officials have not confirmed that information. 

Fire officials say the blaze was not suspicious. Officials say the house suffered extensive damage.

According to Zillow.com, the 7,000 square-foot house is estimated to be worth $2 million.
