The proposed Nassau Hub is receiving an extra $40 million from the state.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo says the money, which is included in his proposed 2019-2020 budget, would go toward pedestrian bridges and a medical research center.
The $1.5 billion project also includes 500 housing units, hotels and retail space on the property surrounding the Nassau Coliseum.
The Hub still needs approval from Nassau County and the town of Hempstead.
