WOODBURY -

Republican Legislator Rob Trotta is set to announce he's running for Suffolk County executive.

Trotta says "it's time to end the corruption and 'pay to play' mentality in Suffolk."

Trotta criticizes Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone's involvement in the 28.6 percent pay increase, when Trotta says, Suffolk "had no money."

Trotta was a member of the Suffolk Police Department for 25 years.
