A Long Island auxiliary bishop is off to lead the diocese in Ohio's capitol.
Auxiliary Bishop Robert Brennan is leaving his post at the Rockville Centre diocese to lead in Columbus, Ohio.
Brennan was raised in Lindenhurst and has held his current position since 2012.
He says he is "honored and humbled" that the pope would choose him for his new post.
The bishop is set to move to Columbus in late March.
