Police: Search underway for missing Bay Shore teens

Police say search efforts are underway for two missing Bay Shore teens.

Janelle Hernandez, 14, and Christopher Jackson, 16, were both reported missing Saturday. Police say the teens may be together.

Hernandez's family tells News 12 that she was last seen Friday evening. Jackson was last seen at his group home around 4 a.m. Saturday, according to police.

Hernandez is described as Hispanic, standing at 5 feet, 5 inches tall. She has brown hair and brown eyes. Police say Jackson stands at 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs approximately 170 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a red vest, blue jeans and red and black sneakers.

Anyone with information is asked to call Third Squad detectives at 631-854-8352.
