Police: Roosevelt man drove drunk, crashed with toddlers in car

A Roosevelt man is accused of driving drunk with two toddlers in the car.

Police arrested Luis Hernandez after they say his Toyota Rav 4 slammed into a telephone pole.

The incident happened around 1 p.m. Monday at the corner of Broadway and Rockaway avenues in Hewlett.

Police say Hernandez was driving a 1 and 3-year-old and two other adults in the SUV.

No one was hurt during the incident.
