Professional clowning: Not just fun and games

Being a professional clown may seem like fun and games, but it takes more than a few tricks to put on a show.
News 12 headed to Queens to learn about the props and costumes that make the act from a clown.
“The idea is to capture and enjoy the moment. Since technology has advanced, it has separated our society,” Lucho Salazar says.
He has been a professional clown for over 10 years and has traveled around the world.
Despite a slow couple of months, he says he’s invested too much to give up.
“I work like everybody else, sometimes more than some people. To reduce my rent, I have to clean the building as a super…super clown,” Salazar says.
His goal is to continue to grow his business and for a couple of hours distract people from the cyber world with a laugh.
