A fruit truck was involved in a violent crash in Midwood this morning.

News 12 is told the accident occurred under the overpass on Avenue K and East 15th Street.

The truck driver was on his way to make a delivery to Kosher Corner Supermarket about two miles away when the truck crashed into the overpass, spilling fruit all over the street. The driver says he made a wrong turn and that is what led to the crash.

The driver, Kenny Brock, told News 12 he was "really shaken up."

Workers tell News 12 the truck was carrying roughly $15,000 worth of produce.

People in the area tell News 12 this is not the first time they've seen a truck crash into this overpass.

No injuries were reported.
