The hunt is on for the suspect wanted for assaulting a NYPD traffic agent earlier this week.
Police say that assault took place on the corner of East 194th Street and East Kingsbridge Road on Jan. 8 around 1 p.m.
Authorities say the suspect approached a 37-year-old NYPD traffic agent while he was looking at a car deciding whether he was going to ticket it.
That was when officials say he punched the agent one time in the face before running southbound on East Kingsbridge Road toward East Fordham Road.
Police say they do not believe it was the suspect's car.
The suspect is described as a male in his early 20s standing at about 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing roughly 140 pounds and was last seen wearing a red hoodie, black Nike sweatpants and white and black colored sneakers.
The agent was treated at the hospital for pain.
