Weekend storm to deliver glancing blow, some snow to Long Island
News 12 meteorologists say a coastal storm will bring some snow to Long Island this weekend, but there won’t be much accumulation.
Models are favoring the heaviest snow across Virginia and the mid-Atlantic states.
As of now, expect anything from flurries to 1-to-2 inches of light, powdery snow across Long Island by Sunday midday.
Any shift north in the storm track would result in more snow, but right now, chances are low that we'll see that happen.
There will be cloudy skies with light snow and flurries in the morning with breaks of sunshine in the afternoon. Highs will be near 32 degrees on Sunday.
On Sunday night, it will be mostly cloudy with a chance of flurries and a high near 20s.
