Southampton High School students have returned home from helping rebuild structures in Puerto Rico that were destroyed by Hurricane Maria.
The students, along with their assistant principal, spent their time cleaning and scraping the walls and ceilings of a school and church, along with lots of painting. They also cleared out an overgrown field that was covered with debris.

Students say the experience gave them a new outlook on life.
Many of the students say they plan to make the same trip during their next holiday break.
