Man injured in shooting at Hempstead gas station

HEMPSTEAD -

Police are searching for the shooter who injured a man in Hempstead.

It happened Friday night on South Franklin Street. Police say the victim was sitting in his car at a BP gas station when the shots rang out.

They say the suspect fired into the man's car multiple times before taking off.

The victim was able to drive himself to the hospital. He was treated for serious injuries.
