SPCA: Glen Head dad, daughter had injured dog living in squalor

A Glen Head father and daughter were arrested in connection with a case of suspected animal abuse.
Investigators say they found Casey, a 5-year-old pit bull, living in squalor and without proper medical care after being hit by a car.
Nassau SPCA Detective Gary Rogers says Casey had a broken back, was living in her own urine and feces and had sores from dragging herself around.
After being rescued, Casey was featured on News 12 Long Island's "Dog Day Fridays" segment on Nov. 30. Casey is still at the care of the SPCA and looking for a home.
Gregory Bagwell, 69, and his daughter, 29-year-old Christine Bagwell, were arrested in connection to the case.
After removing Casey from their Hill Court home, authorities searched the property. Police and the district attorney's office would not clarify what was found inside the home, but News 12 cameras spotted officers carrying out evidence bags and a man in handcuffs.
Neighbors say police have been going to the house for years.
