Boogie Down Bites: Pio Pio

Rotisserie chicken is something you'll find plenty of in the Bronx, but one Peruvian restaurant says it does it the best.
Pio Pio in Mott Haven is one of nine locations throughout four boroughs.
Owners say they are still a small, family owned and operated business.
The restaurant is known for its rotisserie chicken and famous aji verde sauce or green sauce.
"The green sauce is like our best secret recipe," says Jamie Molina, manager of Pio Pio.
The matador special is their most ordered dish. It starts with the show stopper of a freshly hot whole chicken split in half.
"It's really a special sauce that we marinate it with, that makes the chicken nice, juicy, and with a delicious flavor," says Molina.
