Video shows student body-slamming teacher at Bellport High School

Cellphone video shows a student body-slamming a teacher at Bellport High School.
The video was taken inside a classroom on Wednesday. It shows a student picking up a teacher over his head and throwing him to the ground.
Students say a classmate started making fun of the substitute teacher, who then threw a piece of paper at the student.
After the incident, the teacher posted what some describe as a bizarre, 3 1/2-minute video to YouTube.
"I pleaded with the school today...but they told me to go home," he says in the video. "It looks really bad, I think, for teachers if a student attacks a teacher, and then the teacher goes home like a little baby."
He also makes a reference to being called "Shaggy," the character from "Scooby-Doo."
It was unclear if action was taken against the student or if the teacher was back at school on Thursday.
The South Country Central School District superintendent put out a statement saying: "The district does not comment on student or personnel matters."
The superintendent did say the district is aware of the incident and that it is under investigation.
