A city school crossing guard was taken into police custody, accused of a hit-and-run.
According to reports, 29-year-old Elisha Mayo fled the scene after striking two children, ages 2 and 11, crossing Melrose Avenue.
Mayo reportedly kept driving for more than six miles until police finally caught up to her in Eastchester.
