Former Thatched Cottage owner to be sentenced in forced labor case

The former owner of The Thatched Cottage in Centerport who admitted to forced labor will be sentenced today.

Ralph Colamussi admits he threatened to report workers to immigration if they objected to some jobs or complained he did not pay them for weeks at a time.

The Huntington man faces up to 20 years in prison.

The Danford Hotel group owns the building and is rebuilding it with a Gatsby look – targeting an August opening.
