Police: Man with history of lewdness arrests caught yet again

A man who police say has a long history of masturbating in public was arrested once again for committing a lewd act in a Bergen County doctor’s office.
Paramus police say that 47-year-old Brian Bates was charged with criminal open lewdness related to an incident on Nov. 30.
Police say that they were called to a doctor’s office located on Ridgewood Avenue for reports of a male exposing himself to other patients.
Officials said that when officers arrived they found Bates in the bathroom committing various lewd acts with the door opened.
Bates was arrested and taken to New Bridge Medical Center for evaluation.
Paramus police say that Bates, who is from Spring Valley, New York, has been arrested several other times in the past for exposing himself and masturbating in front of children inside of the town’s Barnes & Nobel in the 1990s.
