Student finds 2 bullets at Jettie S. Tisdale School, prompting 'shelter in place'

Two bullets were found on the gym floor of a Bridgeport school Tuesday, according to police.
They say a student at Jettie S. Tisdale School found the bullets and then told a teacher.
Students were sent home with a letter to give their parents regarding the situation.
"It was kind of shocking to know that it was actually not in the playground or outside the premises but inside the school," said Anna Delgado, who has 4-year-old twins who attend pre-K at the school.
School security staff called in police and placed the school in "shelter in place" mode," meaning that no one was allowed to enter or leave but classes continued.
During that time, officers did a search of the common areas and classrooms with students that had gym that morning.
No gun was found and the shelter in place was lifted.
Police also did a sweep of the building after students were dismissed.
"We're looking at some of the cameras," said Bridgeport Police Chief AJ Perez. "The film we have inside the school and outside the school, but so far we have not been able to detect anything related to the two live rounds."
It is currently not clear who brought the bullets in but the school administration says at no point was anyone in danger.
Police ask anyone with information to contact them.
