Thousands of Long Island residents will start their day Thanksgiving Day in sneakers for Turkey Trots across Nassau and Suffolk.

In Garden City, runners will hit the pavement at St. Paul's on Stewart Avenue. They are being asked to bring non-perishable food for The Inn.

The 42nd annual Turkey Trot will be held in Montauk.

Runners can choose either a 3- or 6-mile course around Fort Pond.
