Which toys are best to avoid? Trouble in Toyland has you covered
Trouble in Toyland is out with its 33rd Annual Survey on toy safety, and which toys are best to avoid this holiday season.
New Jersey's Public Interest Research Group was joined by the Boys & Girls Club of Newark and medical officials from Newark Beth Israel Medical Center to present the survey.
Several toys, for a variety of health and privacy related reasons, were featured, including a toy plane that is excessively noisy, a video camera that may create privacy issues, and slime.
"Unfortunately our testing found several popular slimes to have toxic levels of boran, likely in the form of borax, 15 times more than the Europeans Unions limit," says Caroline Smith with NJPIRG.
Another major concern is a balloon, which certainly presents a choking hazard for small children.
