Family files $300M lawsuit against Northrop Grumman over cancer diagnosis

Northrop Grumman is being sued by a Bethpage family, who claim an underground toxic plume gave them cancer.
Bruce, Nancy and their son Christopher Cornett were all diagnosed with a form of cancer within 20 months of one another.
The family has filed a $300 million federal lawsuit blaming the plume for their illnesses.
The plume came from the former Grumman site in Bethpage.
Grumman tells News 12 it doesn't comment on pending litigation.
However, the company says it is working closely with federal, state and local governments to address the environmental conditions.
