Priceline participates in 14th annual Thanksgiving food drive

In order to make sure everyone has a turkey this Thanksgiving, Norwalk-based Priceline, teamed up with Costco and the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County.
Employees spent Monday morning picking up thousands of Thanksgiving food items from Costco, packing them up in a truck, and bringing them to the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County. Then, employees stocked the shelves with dozens of boxes of pasta, sauce, mac and cheese and almost 400 turkeys.
This is an effort they participate in year after year, this being their 14th.
Employees say the holidays are always a crucial time to donate to food banks so that everyone can participate in seasonal festivities and have a warm Thanksgiving meal with their family.
Priceline employees donated their own money to the cause and the company matched those donations.
"Together, we raised over $70,000," says Brett Keller. "From that we'll have almost 400 turkeys that we'll donate to the food bank and tens of thousands of pounds of food."
Half of the funds went toward buying the food and the other half was given to the food bank as a direct donation.
