NEW YORK -

This Thanksgiving will be the busiest travel season in 13 years, according to AAA.

The agency says more than 54 million Americans will hit the roads, runways and rails this Thanksgiving. That's the most since 2005.

The Thanksgiving holiday travel period starts next Wednesday, Nov. 21 and ends Sunday night, Nov. 25.

If you're driving through New York City, prepare to endure nearly quadruple the normal drive times.

AAA says Americans are making more money, and will be using disposable income to travel.
