Long Beach police say a series of BB gun attacks in the area could possibly be a hate crime.
According to police, the incidents happened a block away from Temple Israel of Long Beach, where two of the incidents occurred.
According to reports, police are determining whether several Yeshiva students were targeted because of their faith.
The most recent incident occurred at 10 p.m. Saturday. Newsday says the first victim was walking on Magnolia Boulevard and a second and third victim were on Riverside Boulevard and Beach Street.
Police say two students were struck by pellets from what is believe to be a BB gun. In addition, three women walking on a boardwalk ramp tell police they were also hit in ankle and in the back.
In both incidents, victims told police the shots were coming from a dark SUV.
No one was injured.
