Police say two teenage boys on a scooter plowed into a man on a Cedarhurst sidewalk.
It happened Sept. 14 in front of the Wok Tov Chinese restaurant on Central Avenue.
News 12 is told that the restaurant owner was leaving the building for Sabbath service when the teens, riding an electric scooter, zipped by and collided with the man. Surveillance video captured the crash.
The impact knocked the boys off the scooter, but they hopped back on and fled the scene.
The 54-year-old owner suffered a serious leg injury.
A security camera around the corner from Wok Tov got a clear shot of the two before seconds before the crash. Police say the driver is between 15 and 17 years old; the passenger between 10 and 13 years old. They say both wore white shirts, black pants and had yarmulkes on their heads.
Detectives ask anyone with information on the incident to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
