The building that was once home to the Thatched Cottage will reportedly be hosting weddings again by late next year, according to Newsday.

The facility was sold in 2016 to the Crest Hotel Group, which owns Danford's in Port Jefferson.

The company has since renamed the Centerport building Water's Edge.

The new owners say they are completely renovating the hall to give it an "upscale art deco, Gatsby vibe."
