Police: Freeport man fled from officers, hit cruiser

FREEPORT -

A Freeport man is accused of running from police officers and hitting a cruiser.

Police say they pulled over Jabori Gibson in Elmont last night for allegedly making a right on Hempstead Turnpike from the left lane.

That's when they say he fled, hit a parked car and the police cruiser, and then struck a utility pole.

He was eventually arrested in a yard on Meacham Avenue.

Officials say Gisbon had an open warrant from the state corrections department. He is now facing multiple charges.
