Old Westbury man charged in brawl involving far right group

OLD WESTBURY -

A Long Island man is the ninth member of a far-right group arrested for a brawl outside a Manhattan Republican club.

David Kuriakose, of Old Westbury, is charged with riot and assault.

Kuriakose is accused of being part of the brawl between the far right men's group the Proud Boys and an anti-fascist group.

Douglas Lennan, of Northport, was previously arrested.

The violence broke out on Oct. 12 after Proud Boys founder Gavin McInnes spoke at a club.
