There’s a call to reopen two Nassau County police precincts after being closed for six years to save money.
Nassau Republicans have a proposal to reopen Manhasset’s Sixth Precinct and Levittown’s Eighth Precinct, according to Newsday.
The proposal would require setting aside $1.6 billion to begin the process.
There have been multiple calls to reopen the precincts over the years, especially in light of the opioid epidemic.
