Fall foliage around the Garden State hasn’t been as vivid this autumn as it has in recent years.
News 12 New Jersey meteorologists say that New Jersey is about two weeks behind schedule for fall foliage to appear.
Experts say that for ideal fall colors an area needs to see lots of rain, coupled with a gradual decline in temperatures.
New Jersey has seen a lot of rain recently, but temperatures have gone from very warm to very cool, quickly.
Much of the state should reach peak color by next week.
