The American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk was held in Orchard Beach Sunday.

Organizers say the event unites communities to support each other by honoring those touched by the disease and raising and funds to find a cure.

Money raised by the event helps to fund cancer research, promote education and risk reduction, and provides patient support to those in need.
