Stratford customers claim salon scammed them of services

Customers of a salon in Stratford tell News 12 they want their money back after claims that a woman offering deals on a laser hair removal scammed them.
Danielle Marie Day Spa & Laser Hair Removal received an “F” from the Better Business Bureau, which says that more than a half-dozen customers purchased packages from Danielle Donfrancesco but did not receive the services they paid for – even after they filed complaints. The Better Business Bureau reports that Donfrancesco used the website Groupon to sell discount laser hair removal packages but didn't follow through.
“I paid her upfront for services, and she never finished them,” says salon customer Toni Rodriguez. “Her machine broke. She had to get a new machine. Then she got a new machine, then something about she got a better machine, then she had to reschedule…so no, I didn't get the services I paid for.”
Customers recall procedures were initially performed in this home on Huntington Road without the medical supervision required by law. The salon then moved down the street after the Statford Health Department approved a license.
However, customer Jacqueline Barnett says things didn't improve. She says Donfrancesco owes her almost $500.

Nobody answered when News 12 stopped by the salon, but the owner tells News 12 that some of the complaints are lies. She says when her salon was forced to move she used some of the customers' money to get by, but hopes to pay people back.
The state Department of Consumer Protection is now investigating along with the Health Department.
