A Roosevelt man is facing criminal charges after an alleged street racing crash that killed his girlfriend.

Kevin Reyes, 19, was arraigned Tuesday on manslaughter charges.

Shakira Garcia, 19, of Westbury, died. She was the mother of an infant.

Two other passengers were seriously hurt. If convicted, Reyes faces up to 15 years in prison.
