Heavy rains taper off as remnants of Michael exit
A wind advisory will remain in effect until noon across Long Island as heavy rains begin to taper off.
News 12 meteorologists say strong winds up to 45 mph may blow down limbs, trees and power lines. Scattered power outages are possible.
Rain will taper off by 9 a.m. over the East End as clouds give way to mostly sunny skies.
Expect cooler temperatures with highs 65 to 68 degrees.
For tonight, clear skies will give way to increasing clouds with lows of 45 to 50 degrees.
On Saturday, morning clouds and a few showers will be around until 3 p.m. Expect party sunny skies the rest of the afternoon with breezy and chilly conditions with highs near 57 degrees.
