Controversy surrounds hot dog shop’s suggestive T-shirts

T-shirts worn by the staff of a Morris County hot dog restaurant are raising some eyebrows.
Weenies opened on Main Street in Madison Monday.
The staff wear shirts that say “Weenies. Grab yours here” with an arrow pointing down to the restaurant’s website.
Some customers have complained, calling the shirts too suggestive.
But Sean Williams, Weenies' director of operations, says that it is all in good fun.
“I designed the logo and T-shirts and stuff. So, I did this three years ago and we started wearing them and everything and they weren’t a problem in Denville,” he says. “It’s not offensive. It’s just inviting people to go to our website.”
The shirts are also sold to customers. Williams says that he sold out in a day. He says that he has placed an order for more.
Weenies features a variety of classic hot dogs with kraut and mustard, plus other twists including pulled pork, pineapple and cream cheese.
