WOODBURY -

Hempstead Town Supervisor Laura Gillen recently released her proposed 2019 budget.

She says it includes a slight tax decrease for most homeowners -- a little less than 2 percent on average, or $14.28 less compared to the 2018 tax bill.

The town board says the math doesn't add up and residents will not see a tax decrease.

Gillen joins News 12 on set to explain.
