Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle accident in Stamford Sunday night at the intersection of Tresser Boulevard and Canal Street.
The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Rene Sandoval-Romero from Stamford.
Authorities say a Jeep Wrangler cut in the path of a motorcycle at around 7 p.m., sending the motorcyclist into the air and onto the pavement.
Officials say Sandoval-Romero was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
He suffered trauma to his head and was brought to Stamford hospital where he died from his injuries.
Police say the 18-year-old driver of the Jeep, a Norwalk resident, is cooperating with police.
No charges have been filed.
Officials haven't released the name of the other driver.
Police say they're hoping to look at surveillance cameras to help them with the investigation.
