SHIRLEY -

A massive home was gutted by flames in Shirley early Sunday morning.

The fire broke out around 12:30 a.m. at the home on Arpage Drive East.

A total of four departments responded to the scene.

News 12 has learned one firefighter was injured, but it is not clear how badly.

Fire officials have not confirmed who was in the house at the time, but a young man at the home says three of his family members were inside with their dog when the fire broke out. He says all of them made it out safely.
